Breakfasts consisted of many different dishes and amazing fruit plates that Marianne turned into works of art. The whole house is beautifully and stylishly decorated - interesting everywhere one looked. An afternoon beer on the sunny terrace with views of the ocean was wonderful. El Jadida and the cite Portuguese are definitely worth including on a Morocco itinerary - few tourists and a sense of a real community. We Enjoyed the very long sandy beach ,walking in the refreshing water, and watching the many, many, football enthusiasts playing up and Down the beach.

It seemed the person on the other end was reading from a script maybe also employed by an outside service to interview over the phone. She said she would pass me on to her hiring manager and scheduled a time a couple days later to speak. Our host was very gracious and made us feel like we were family and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was Moroccan specialties and fresh fruit. We were greeted on check in with refreshing mint tea and small cakes. The home is in a great location and is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. You will not be disappointed with your stay here. It would be good if there were signs on the streets pointing to the location as it can be difficult to find in the dark.

The fruit salad is a work of art, the pancakes are freshly cooked and the best of each version we have had. The bread is a crusty brown, with cumin seeds. Butter is French and the sugar cubes heart shaped! My husband's big regret was forgetting to eat the sweets on the second morning as he ate them all on the first morning. Mr Lionel and his wife were very hospitable but conversation was constrained by language barriers.
We are not fluent in French and they are not fluent in English. We asked for mint tea after returning from dinner on our first night and Mr Lionel called Fatima in from her home to make it by mobile. Despite the few quirks we enjoyed our time here and would stay again if we are in El Jadida.
In addition, Ibis Budget El Jadida offers a snack bar, which will help make your El Jadida trip additionally gratifying. And, as an added convenience, there is free parking available to guests. Mr. Lionel found us a the entrance to old town, where we parked and escorted to his lovely inn.
We couldnt figure out why a wifi code with thomson in it came up. But it is correct, we just had to wait until the next morning to find this out. There is also a small roof terrace which provides views and breezes in every direction. There are even sunhats provided to protect against those harmful rays.
El Jadida is a low key town, a nice break from Fez and Marrakesh because there are not a lot of tourists, but also not a lot of "must sees." Strong revigorating shower and best breakfast withe a great view. The owner however seems to be a bit unattentive, and told me how exactly to eat a crepe and wanted me to go home before having dinner. If you stay in people's houses you have to deal with their deals. Close to many restaurants, shops and the beach, and it's delightful to wander around the old town right outside your front door.
